Shamim Akhter's story

Shamim Aktar,a 28 year old women, is living a life of unbearable hardships and difficulties. A few years back, Shamim's life took a traumatic turn when her face got burnt in an accident that she will never forget. She was caught on fire while making dinner in her kitchen. As a result of the incident she lost her everything ,from her face to her identity.She had undergone several surgical procedures and now has recovered to a great deal. She got married a few years back and is currently residing in Jhang, Pakistan,  Now when Shamim is on her way to a normal life, She is facing a bigger challenge. Shamim and her husband are living a life of poverty and despair. Shamim's husband works as a richshaw driver for some one else . His income is insufficient not only for Shamim's treatment but also meeting their basic daily needs. A small donation of $464 will help Shamim and her Husband buy their own Richshaw.
