As soon as Abdul Ghafur completed his matriculation, he was on to learning a new skill in order to establish a means of livelihood. He started learning carpentry and worked exceptionally hard to perfect his skills. Abdul Ghafur is highly proud of the fact that his clients love his work and refer him to others with excellent reviews. From his hard-earned money, Abdul Ghafur takes care of his wife and 5 children. He has 4 daughters and a son. His eldest daughter is in the 2nd year of her college whereas the youngest is only 4 years old. All his children go to school and Abdul Ghafur is immensely proud of his daughters for excelling in their studies. As a father, he wishes to support them to the best of his abilities. 

Abdul Ghafur owns a wood workshop; not long ago, he invested Rs. 200,000 in his workshop to buy the necessary machinery. However, this used up his entire saving and Abdul Ghafur was left with no money to purchase the raw material for making furniture. He is completely out of raw material and the only way that he is able to make money is via the rent that other carpenters give to him for using his workshop. He wants to get back to work as soon as possible in order to manage his household expenses and thus, he needs a loan of $245 to purchase wood and other material.
