There are few people who are able to be a source of immense support for their families at a very young age. Our Muhammad Akmal from Gujranwala is one such person who, at a tender age of 20, is managing the needs of his entire household with a lot of responsibility and dedication. Akmal and his elder brother work together as a team and run a small sweet and samosa shop for the last 7 years. His brother, Afzal, is himself just 24 years old but both of them have always felt a deep sense of responsibility to earn for their mother, their 3 sisters and their grandfather. The sweet shop is the only source of income for the family. Payment of medical, educational, utility and every other expense has to be met from the income the two brothers generate out of the sweet shop.
The family is deserving, no doubt, but Akmal wants to break free from poverty and make his family happy. The shop is very small, the raw materials are not adequate, the machinery and utensils are old and this all affects their business. To improve business and increase sales, financial investment is pertinent. With this realization, Akmal has approached Seed Out for a loan of $210 for his sweet shop. Akmal is really hopeful that this will bring prosperity to the business, as it will be able to compete better with the other sweet shops in the locality and take bigger orders. Akmal really hopes that this will make it easier for him to pay for the education of his youngest sister as well, as she is a bright student and as a supportive brother, he wants to see her succeed.
