Ashfaq Masih has numerous responsibilities in his life to handle and supporting his family financially is his number one priority. Ashfaq has worked all his life as a rickshaw driver for the past 20 years in Lahore. Even after going through tough times, such as his divorce, Ashfaq did not lose hope and cared for his family more than ever. He got his daughter married with his limited savings and now supports his family’s household expenses. Since his daughter and son-in-law live with him, they contribute to the household income, but it is insufficient at the moment. Despite saving money, Ashfaq never had enough to buy his own auto-rickshaw. All these years, he drove a rented rickshaw which left him with a little income at the end of the month. He managed his expenses previously, but since it has become difficult to survive in an expensive city like Lahore, Ashfaq is left with nothing at the end of the month. Luckily, Ashfaq came across Seed Out through a rickshaw advertisement and requested a loan of $350 to buy his own auto-rickshaw. Since he has been driving for a very long time, he believes he can easily target customers in Lahore and earn a considerable amount of income.
