Riffat Yasmeen, a 41-year-old mother of 5 kids, is an ambitious woman who wants to support her husband financially. 2 years ago, Riffat started a general store in front of her home with limited amount of finances she had. She worked hard so that her business can thrive but as the stock present in her store was less, her earnings kept low. Riffat’s husband is a rickshaw driver and earns a small amount of money by driving around the local village area in Gujranwala. Despite both of them working hard, their earnings are not enough to manage their household expenses, pay for their children’s school fees and also purchase stock for the store. Both the parents are passionate about sending their children to school but financial crises have made both of them worried for future. Riffat has requested a loan of $175 from Seed Out to expand her general store. She is aware that by increasing the stock in her store, more number of customers will buy from her store. This will increase her store’s sales and revenue. The donation from Seed Out’s crowd funding platform will allow Riffat to escape poverty. She will be able to provide better meals to her kids and husband. Her children’s future will be secured and they will have a better life.
