59 – years old Shameem Akhtar is a widow. She lost her husband many years back. Despite her old age she is forced to earn, as she is not left with any choice. Poverty is driving this poor lady for 27 long years. She tried her luck on many fronts. She started off with cloths selling business; for 10 years she did bangles’ selling work; for another 10 years she did embroidery work but as of now when she is getting older she finds herself unable to do any work which involves physical strain. Experiencing this she opted for the most suitable option, two years back i.e., she started a grocery store in the small nook of her house. Keeping her comfort in view, Shameem has concluded that grocery selling would be the right choice for her and she would like to carry that business in future as well. Furthermore she wants to expand that business by adding more variety of grocery items to that but doesn’t have any savings to do so.
