Nadeem Bhatti and his wife were born into very poor households. All they've seen is a life of poverty and hardships. They do not want a similar life for their children and hence are struggling very hard to escape the clutched of extreme poverty. Nadeem has 4 children; his eldest son is 17 and then he has three younger daughters, all of whom go to school. The youngest, Iman, is in the 2nd grade. Nadeem, for the past 16 years, has been driving a taxi as his means of income. 5 years ago, he shifted to driving a motorcycle rickshaw. However, this motorcycle rickshaw is very old and out of order and Nadeem has to pay a high rental fee for it since its not his own. A major part of his daily labor goes into paying the fee of this rickshaw. On the other hand, Nadeem's wife works in the fields and after countless hours of intensive labor, is able to earn Rs. 10-12,000 monthly.
