Riaz Ahmed has had a reasonable income throughout his life but is now faced with a financial crunch. Riaz is a retired army personnel who has now settled in his hometown of Faisalabad and is currently running a grocery store. The grocery store is his family's only source of income. Having limited stock at the grocery store, Riaz is unable to earn a sufficient income and he finds it extremely difficult to fulfill his household demands. Riaz is a father of four and three of them studying. His eldest son, Ali, is looking for a job to support the family. Ali and his mother help Riaz in running the store. To improve earning from his only source of income, Riaz has requested a loan of $245 to expand his grocery store. Once he increases the stock at his store, Riaz believes he will be able to target a larger number of customers. With better profits, he will be able to provide a decent livelihood to his family and save for his children’s higher studies and a better future. Tags
