In a country where marriage for women is often looked at as means of financial security; Aqila Bibi, provides for the needs of her family. Her husband, who suffers from a brain clot and partial paralysis, and her three children, all minors, are entirely dependent on her. She currently runs a general store. However, it is poorly stocked. Equipped with little more than the very bare minimum level of literacy and a small scarcely stocked store, but unwavering determination and perseverance; Aqila Bibi sets out to shoulder unconventional responsibilities in a patriarchal society.
