Amjad Ijaz faced immense responsibilities when his father passed away a few years ago but he took it upon himself and became the backbone of his family. He started working as a waiter and used to earn a minimum amount but it was just enough to take care of his mother and bear the household expenses, including the house rent. A few years ago, when he got married and had kids, his expenses increased abruptly. He started driving an auto-rickshaw in the city as he believed this could make more income as compared to working as a waiter. Now that he is driving a rented auto-rickshaw for the past two years, his income has increased but his expenses have grown even more. Amjad is a worried man who drives a rented auto-rickshaw and relies on his father’s pension to manage the household expenses. The responsibility of his four kids, wife and his old mother is on Amjad alone.
