"Those who spend their wealth in Allah's way by night and by day, secretly and publicly — they will have their reward with their Lord." — Quran 2:274The story of Huma Naaz is extremely touching as the 28-year-old's struggles are not just related to poverty but her physical health too. Huma, being a polio victim, is handicapped from both her legs but does not give up on life. Her life is totally dependent on others but the entrepreneur within Huma remains motivated. She has a 5 year experience in selling garments from her home and wishes to continue doing so. It is unfortunate that her husband, Saleem also suffered from severe burns a few months ago where his hands got badly infected. He is currently working as a loader rickshaw driver but due to his poor health, he is unable to earn sufficient amount. Therefore, most of their household expenses are borne by Huma's father, who helps them run the household. Huma, being a self-motivated entrepreneur, has reached out to Seed Out for a $175 in order to expand her garment business. The donation from Seed Out's crowd funding platform will allow her to purchase larger amount of stock and sell in her neighbourhood and surrounding areas. There will be an increase in her household income and she will be able to fulfill her family's needs without any strain on her physical health.
