Amir Ahmad's story

46-year-old Amir Ahmad is willing to take up any respectable profession in order to take care of his wife and two children. Amir was born in a poor family and his parents did not send him to school, due to which Amir is unable to read or write. As a young boy, he always felt sad about never being able to go to school but as a father, he had decided that this would not be the fate of his children. Amir's wife has studied up till the intermediate level and it was the wish of both the parents to send their children to a good school. They have a 12-year-old daughter, Dania, and a 9-year-old son. Dania is a very bright student and takes a top position in her class. To keep his household running, Amir has taken up various jobs in the past. He has done driving, laundry, sales and repair and maintainance. These days, Amir does laundry work from home. However, it is not possible to run the household from this income alone, and Amir now wants to have his own auto-rickshaw. He has approached Seed Out for a loan of $158. This is the first time that he is going to own his own business, and he is very hopeful of success. His biggest motivation is a decent life for his wife and children.
