Muhammad Iqbal's story

Muhammad Iqbal, a 46-year-old father of three lives in a semi urban locality of Lahore. Iqbal is a hard working man who is committed to his work in order to give a better life and education to his children. In order to do so, Iqbal does a full time job at a private company from which he earns very less money. He also manages a small business of spare parts that helps him generate some extra income. Iqbal’s household expenses always exceeds his income and his kids suffer because he is unable to pay their tuition fee at certain times. Due to lack of finances, Iqbal’s elder daughter also contributes to the household by giving tuition to the community kids. The financial tension at Iqbal’s house puts an impact on children’s education and healthcare as well. Iqbal has requested a loan of $210 in order to expand his business of spare parts sales. He believes his 16 year experience in this field will allow him to grow better and he knows where the investment should be made. He is capable of generating large amount of revenue. Iqbal is hopeful that this business expansion will improve their household conditions, his daughter will not have to work and can focus on her education. He is hoping that all of his children will get higher education in order to lead better quality lives.
