Meet Basheera Bibi, a 56-year-old widow from Bahawalnagar who is struggling to earn for herself and her son even in this age. Her husband died many years ago and Basheera raised her son, Shahraz, alone. Basheera started a grocery store 2 years ago but had to shut it down due to some personal reasons. Shahraz works at a fast-food cart which helps the mother and son to pay for their bills. Their resources are very constrained and they are living hand to mouth. Basheeran can take this no longer and wants to start her grocery store again, fo which she needs a loan of $245.
