Hanifan Bibi is a senior citizen from Bahawalnagar. Even in old age, her desire to stand on her own feet and not become dependent on her sons shows her strong willpower. Although two of her sons live with her, they are unable to financially support their widowed mother. Hanifan never complains about this and instead tries to find happiness in whatever little she has. Hanifan runs a small grocery store outside her home but it hardly generates any income. Her stock has almost finished, and as she has no savings, she is unable to invest. Her sons, Farhad and Waseem, are only able to support their respective families' expenses. Hanifan sustains herself through her little grocery store and her late husband's pension.
