Muhammad Ayoub, a 53-year-old father of 6 children lives in a small house with substandard conditions in Gujranwala. It becomes hard for Ayoub to manage his expenses each month as all of his children go to school and he has to pay their fees. Previously working as a labourer, Ayoub recently started driving a rental auto rickshaw. However, due to his increasing household expenses he was not able to save money for his children’s education. Out of his 6 children, unfortunately only 3 are able to attend school. His two elder sons also contribute to their father’s finances by doing jobs so that he can get some financial relief. Ayoub has requested a loan of $756 in order to purchase his own auto rickshaw. He wants to increase his income by driving his own auto rickshaw around the city and reach maximum customers. Owning his Auto Rickshaw would enable him to save on the rent. He believes that this way he can generate more revenue, do not have to pay rent for the rickshaw and after paying the instalments back, the rickshaw will become his own asset. He is positive that he will provide better quality life to his family from his increased income. He will be able to afford better medical facilities and education for all of his children so that they lead better lives unlike their parents.
