Shahnaz bibi, a 39-year-old woman, lives with her two children and husband in Gujranwala. Her husband is a factory worker with a pay of PKR 20,000 only. Previously, Shahnaz contributed to household finances by working at a stitching factory for 15 years but their growing family faced challenges of meeting the expenses due to little income. Shahnaz is worried about her daughter's wedding as she grows older. She recently started her business of general store from PKR 20,000. The idea worked well but due to less inventory it did not generate enough profit. Shahnaz has requested a loan of PKR 60,000 through crowdfunding so she can add some necessary items at her store including oil, ghee, sugar and pulses. This will allow her to save for her daughter's wedding in near future and increase her income in a sustainable manner.
